Hi! I'm Laura, a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD) with a passion for all things food, nutrition, and fitness. I love helping people reach their goals and improve their nutrition.
I will be your personal Dietitian/Nutritionist, and will work with you to help facilitate positive changes and serve as your source for nutrition expertise, while providing accountability and motivation to help you succeed and improve your health.

I grew up in Rhode Island and have lived in Barrington, Providence, & Newport until recently moving to Warwick. My parents are avid cooks and previously owned their own grocery store and deli/catering business, exposing me to great food at a young age. Additionally, I have always been very active and enjoy skiing, golf, hiking, running, and ice hockey. My interests in food and cooking combined with my passion for health and fitness is what led to my interest in nutrition.
I studied Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of New Hampshire where I received my Bachelor of Science degree. I completed a combined Master's/Dietetic Internship Program at the University of Rhode Island, receiving my Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Science.
I have worked in clinical/hospital settings (both acute care and psychiatric) and have experience with patients with complex nutritional needs and chronic diseases (including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, congestive heart failure, gastrointestinal disorders, neurological disorders, eating disorders, anxiety & depression).
I have worked in several fitness-based settings throughout the state, including some of the top rated gyms on Aquidneck Island and in Providence. PIVOT Nutrition is primarily based within Fitness Together Providence, a personal training studio on the East Side of Providence.
In my free time I love trying new restaurants, cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. I live in Warwick, RI with my husband Ed and our German Shepherd Jasper. I love reggae music, iced coffee, anything near or around water, and being active (weight training, golf, hiking, & skiing are some of my favorites).
